OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT
Our Vision
- Mecharena is an annual inter-college national level technical symposium organised by the students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, UCE, OU. Mecharena was founded in 2002 with the goal of instilling a scientific mindset, stimulating innovation and enhancing managerial abilities among students, as well as providing them with a platform to develop and showcase their technical prowess. It hosts a plethora of competitions, workshops, lectures and paper presentations. It has evolved and grown over the years, fulfilling its purpose and becoming one of the most sought-after student technical fests in the country. Mecharena is returning with a bang in its 22nd edition, featuring activities spanning from 3D printing to robotics, as well as various competitions with lucrative prizes to be won. To keep participants knowledge and skills up to date, state-of-the-art expert lectures and workshops from many fields of science and technology will be held.
